I just had to share this because I’m so excited about my experience! I've been practicing Tai Chi for many years, but I stepped away from group training because the energy started feeling stagnant and heavy. I could sense the emotional weight of others in the room, and it began to weigh me down too. Imagine being surrounded by so many emotions—while not all were negative, the collective heaviness became overwhelming.
Recently, I found myself feeling stuck again, surrounded by those same lingering energies. That’s when I decided to explore something new to shift and refresh my energy. I came across a different form of Qi Gong and thought, "Why not? Let’s give it a try!" You never know until you try, and I’ve always been open to new experiences.
For the first time, I experienced a profound sense of grounding—something entirely new to me. This inner stability gave me the clarity to examine the emotions and behaviors I had been clinging to, patterns that no longer served me. I realised that my attachment to these habits was rooted in unresolved childhood trauma and a lack of trust in my ability to assert boundaries and remain true to myself. It was a confrontation I had long avoided. Releasing my grip on these deeply ingrained patterns felt intimidating, but it was also a pivotal step in my healing journey. As I embraced this transformation, I noticed significant changes: my mindfulness sharpened, my posture aligned, and my movements became fluid and effortless—a reflection of the harmony I was beginning to cultivate within.
I embarked on yet another practice, one that focused even more on mindfulness. As I progressed, I found myself slowly regaining the strength to get out of bed and serve others with greater harmony. This journey taught me how to transform my energy, and, in turn, my mind became calmer—less cluttered and freed from judgment.
By the third day, I was filled with immense gratitude for my very first instructor—the one who set me on the path of this extraordinary journey. It was he who planted the seed that blossomed into such a profound and transformative experience. Before meeting him, I had a vivid dream that hinted at his arrival and the changes to come, though I could never have imagined just how pivotal he would be to my Tai Chi journey. His unconventional methods—or perhaps I should say his wisdom in challenging societal norms and outdated practices—have given me a newfound appreciation for the work we did together. All I can say is Hey I am swimming freely!
The joy I feel today feels truly earned, a result of profound self-discovery and personal growth. Practicing Tai Chi now allows me to delve into its depths with greater understanding and purpose. I must admit, being selective about the instructors I’ve chosen to learn from has truly paid off.
As I write this, my heart is filled with gratitude. When we take the time to turn inward and explore the depths of our true selves, we become aware that nothing can truly hold us back. The key lies in learning how to align with our inner flow, as it naturally reflects in the way we navigate the world around us. I also believe that without experiencing negativity or challenges, we wouldn’t truly appreciate the balance of yin and yang. These moments teach us how to adapt, grow, and flow through difficult situations and relationships. Change, though sometimes uncomfortable, is often the path to growth, opening doors to new experiences and opportunities.
How can we truly understand happiness without ever experiencing sadness?
How can we feel balance if we have never felt what it is like to be unbalanced?
How can we appreciate lightness without first carrying the weight of heaviness? It is through contrast that we discover balance and harmony.
So until next time

Through this journey, I realised that I naturally began to crave healthier foods. It was as if my body instinctively understood exactly what it needed to thrive.
As an empath, I became increasingly aware of how easily I absorbed the emotions and energies of those around me, almost like a sponge. This often left me weighed down by feelings that were not my own. However, through mindful practices, gentle movements, and visualisation techniques, I learned to transform these energies. These tools became invaluable in helping me clear and balance my chi, restoring a sense of harmony within.
Highly intuitive by nature, I am constantly refining my ability to navigate challenging situations and manage antagonism from others with composure and grace, without reacting impulsively.
